Who We Are
An Independent Consultancy Built on Experience
Front End Engineering Consultancy was founded on a straightforward principle: operators and EPCs deserve direct access to senior engineers, not a management layer that delegates the actual work to less experienced staff. FEEC brings together four principal consultants with a combined experience exceeding 100 years across process engineering, EC&I, project management, and — critically — the operator side of the business.
We have delivered across six continents — designing FPSO topsides in West Africa, managing modular gas facilities in South Asia, facilitating HAZOP workshops in Southeast Asia, and engineering seawater injection systems in the Middle East. Our clients include independent operators running fast-track early production campaigns and major service companies tendering complex offshore packages across upstream and midstream sectors.
Based in South East Asia, our location is a deliberate commercial decision. It lets us serve regional projects at lower overhead than London or Perth-based firms, work across Asian and European time zones, and offer day-rates that large office-infrastructure firms simply cannot match — without any compromise on engineering quality or professional standards.
Operator Perspective
One of our principals spent 34 years on the operator side — at Total, Marathon Oil, and Talisman Sinopec — before joining FEEC. Every design we produce is challenged not just for process correctness, but for real-world operability: maintainability, turndown behaviour, and the practical concerns that only someone who has actually run a facility truly understands.

Jose Campins
Principal Consultant — Process Engineering
20+ years
Jose has spent 20 years engineering upstream facilities — FEED studies, process simulation, and detailed design for MOPU topsides, FPSOs, and modular early production facilities across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. He brings the same rigour to a targeted simulation study as to a full FEED package, and treats fast-track as a design constraint to be solved, not a reason to cut corners.
Darren Strengers
Principal Consultant — Project Management
25+ years
Twenty-five years of project and construction management across six continents has given Darren an instinct for what actually holds a project together under pressure. His strength is in keeping first-oil targets in sight when circumstances change — managing international contractors, complex supply chains, and multi-discipline teams from concept through operational handover.
Robin Charles Binner
Principal Consultant — EC&I Engineering
30+ years
Robin's 30 years span the full lifecycle of process plant — greenfield design, brownfield modifications, and everything in between. His combination of deep EC&I technical knowledge with a strong commercial background makes him equally effective in the engineering office and at the negotiating table. He has led SIL/LOPA assessments and SRS development to IEC 61511 for projects across multiple geographies.
Ian Bissett
Principal Consultant — Process Engineering
34+ years
A Chartered Chemical Engineer and IChemE Fellow, Ian spent the majority of his 34-year career on the operator side — with Total, Marathon Oil, and Talisman Sinopec — before joining FEEC. That perspective shapes every project he touches: designs are challenged not just for process correctness but for real-world operability and the practical concerns that only someone who has actually operated facilities truly understands.
